Stauffer Seeds, Inc. History

Stauffer Seeds, Inc. was a subsidiary of the Stauffer Chemical Co., of Westport Conn., while the seed division headquarters were located in Aurora, Neb. Stauffer acquired a number of companies, including Blaney Seeds of Madison, Wis., RBA of Olivia, Minn., and Prairie Valley Hybrids, Inc. of Phillips, Neb., until Northrup King Co. purchased the physical assets of the company in 1987.
